Moses Farrow is a freelance photographer based in Connecticut.
My fingers were often filthy from the lead in the pencils I used to sketch with as a child. I was fascinated with animals, but most of my drawings were of dinosaurs and birds. My nose stuck in field guides, with my glasses slipping off virtually touching the pages. The world I grew up in was filled with art and creativity. I studied art at the Dalton School in New York and art history at Kent School in Connecticut. As I explored many forms of artistic expression, I was often met with the challenges of having a disability. Cerebral Palsy can impact the body in a number of ways, mostly with physical growth and motor coordination. It can be very limiting. However, like others have found, we learn to adapt and find ways to pursue our dreams. As life would have it, I pursued a career as a Marriage and Family Therapist, receiving my Masters degree from the University of Connecticut. I have had the opportunity to share many artistic elements that have built positive relationships and have drawn out the strengths in the children and families I have worked with as a therapist. However, it has been a clear departure from my creative self. It wasn't until the birth of my son that opened the opportunity to pursue art again. This time, as a photographer. I have studied many aspects of photography, always looking for opportunities to keep practicing. It is an art form with tools like tripods and image stabilized lenses that allow me to truly have mastery over my artistic expression. Now you can find me out and about with my children, cameras in hand. Itís a joy to share my passion of photography with them and with you!
